Technology aids students in balancing creativity with deadlines
Students in 10th to 12th grade at William Allen High School in Pennsylvania take part in courses such as Video Media Production, Media Print, and Business Writing. Teaching these subjects is a fulfilling experience, yet it requires the careful management of both technical instruction and creative expression.
Technology plays a crucial role in maintaining order in our dynamic classroom environment. My students frequently use Google Drive to store large video files, exchange high-resolution images, and provide instant feedback on each other’s work. To adhere to demanding broadcast schedules and yearbook publication timelines, we utilize Google Sheets. This tool allows us to allocate tasks and oversee production schedules efficiently. It has significantly improved our capacity to deliver high-quality production projects while keeping the workflow systematic and organized.
The use of these straightforward collaborative tools ensures that our classroom functions smoothly. They offer my students the necessary framework to build their technical skills, cooperate effectively as a team, and realize their creative visions.
